What is a Legacy Legend?
A staff nominated, team of leaders, who have stepped up to help Center 50+ rise to the challenge of raising funds and awareness of our community.
Jean Madden
I walked into the doors of Center 50 plus almost 14 years ago. My older tennis friends encouraged me to give this place a try. They loved it. I have been participating and volunteering ever since. It’s been an honor and a joy to spread the word as part of the legend group connections for life.
Karen Bolliger
I am proud to be in the first Legends group at Center 50+. My time has been spent on the Levy Commission working on the future of our Center. What a way to learn so much politically and fiscally about how our city is run!

I began volunteering at Center 50+ in the Fall of 2022, working as a Respite volunteer and front desk receptionist. I quickly saw that both the staff and volunteers were deeply passionate about the Center’s mission. When I was asked to become a Legacy Legend, I felt both honored and undeserving. I couldn’t think of any good reason or excuse to decline the opportunity to support Center 50+ as it navigates through the occasional rough waters of changing times.

I retired in 2024, but did not get involved in Center 50+ until after covid. A good friend nagged me to check it out and It took me a while, but I went, and I LOVED it. People were so welcoming and friendly! One thing led to another and now I volunteer and am on the Board of Directors. The legacy legend challenge has been a way to give back to something I wholeheartedly believe in.
